Apple’s new MacBook offers solid performance with Style
you’re looking for the performance of a MacBook Pro without the Pro price, then you’re going to like Apple’s newly updated MacBook.
The MacBook, unveiled with updates to the iMac and Mini lines last month, is still priced at $999 — $200 less than the 13-in. aluminum-clad MacBook Pro. But compared to the model it replaces, Apple’s latest entry-level portable delivers an updated architecture, a beefier hard drive and a higher-quality screen.
The biggest change from the old model is the redesigned plastic housing, which is created using Apple’s "unibody" manufacturing process. While still encased in the shiny white plastic that has been the hallmark of the line for years, Apple’s latest MacBook forgoes the boxy look in favor of flowing lines, swooping angles and a precision fit.
The end result is a solid laptop that feels sculpted instead of assembled and has the processing power users need.
New curves, updated hardware
Not only is it curvier, but the MacBook now weighs in at 4.7 pounds — 0.2 pounds lighter than before. It’s still just over an inch thick when closed.
NASA finds ‘significant’ water on moon
(CNN) — NASA said Friday it had discovered water on the moon, opening "a new chapter" that could allow for the development of a lunar space station.
The discovery was announced by project scientist Anthony Colaprete at a midday news conference.
"I’m here today to tell you that indeed, yes, we found water. And we didn’t find just a little bit; we found a significant amount" — about a dozen, two-gallon bucketfuls, he said, holding up several white plastic containers.
The find is based on preliminary data collected when the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, intentionally crashed October 9 into the permanently shadowed region of Cabeus crater near the moon’s south pole.
After the satellite struck, a rocket flew through the debris cloud, measuring the amount of water and providing a host of other data, Colaprete said.
Now no unlimited free access to ATMs of other banks
From Thursday there will no more unlimited withdrawal from the ATMs of other banks in India. Now one can only avail of five free cash withdrawals in a month using third-party ATMs.Each additional transaction will cost Rs 20 while the maximum cash withdrawal from a third-party ATM will be limited to Rs 10,000 per transaction. Moreover only savings account holders will be able to use ATMs of other banks and current account holders won’t have any access.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had earlier agreed to the demands made by Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) that there should be a restriction on cash withdrawals using third-party ATMs. IBA had submitted its recommendations to the RBI in July citing financial burden on banks due to a large number of third party usage and small-ticket withdrawals, resulting in high interchange expenses for banks. The short-lived freedom of using ATMs of other banks, for services like cash withdrawals and account enquiries, without being charged for the same, was brought in force by the RBI on April 1, just over six months back.

Nvidia’s DX11 Cards Before The Year’s End
AMD released the first DirectX 11 cards last month. This made them superior than Nvidia.
Nvida won’t be far behind with their own DX11 cards. In fact, we now know that they will be hitting stores before the end of the year.
Nvida has stated that they will have their latest cards, dubbed the GT300 out in time for ‘Black Friday.’ That gives AMD a 2 month head-start into the market. The big question is whether or not people are going to jump on AMD’s offerings, or wait to see what kind of performance the new GT300 cards show. Either way, it’s going to be an interesting holiday season.
