Windows colour profile. And that means a digital photo that looks perfect on your

screen might appear very poor on everybody else.

Fortunately, Windows 7 now provides a Display Colour Calibration Wizard that helps you properly set up your brightness, contrast and colour settings, and a ClearType tuner to ensure your text is crisp and sharp.

For many people, the ribbon interface used in Microsoft Office 2007 is a great

step forward, while others find it overwhelming. If you fall into the latter category,

you’ll be happy to know that the ribbon can be temporarily hidden to provide you

with a larger working area.

It’s also worth noting that the ribbon can quite easily be hidden by accident, so if this has happened, use this tip to help find it again. Click the down arrow icon at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar and tick or untick the Minimize the Ribbon option.

Nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer

which can be named as "CON".
This is something pretty cool…and unbelievable. ..

At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn’t

answer why this happened!

Unfortunately, this is a problem that cannot be solved. Just Cause 2 is a DX10/11 game and only supports Windows Vista and Windows 7. There is currently no way you can get the game to run under Windows XP (which only has DirectX 9). There are various hacks posted online but they simply do not work – do not waste your time on this if you have XP.

Cant find XINPUT1_3.dll  Error

This error and most other similar missing DLL errors are usually triggered due to a non updated version of DirectX. Please download and install the latest version of DirectX and the error would most likely be gone

Installer issues, crashes, freezes or hang at launch

Some of the most common issues people seem to be experiencing with this game seems to include the Just Cause 2 not launching after the main executable is clicked. Black, blank screens at launch or crashes to desktop have also been reported. One possible reason for such problems is a corrupted or incomplete installation. If you are experiencing such problems, we suggest you reinstall the game, this time running the installer as Administrator (Right click and choose ‘Run as administrator’).

Update your graphic card driver to fix new game loading screen issue

On Windows Vista and Windows 7, when a non-admin privileged user tries to install something into Program Files, sometimes the OS directs the install location to the user’s VirtualHost folder. This is a safety feature but might cause issues with games such as Just Cause 2. Reinstalling and running the setup as administrator should fix this problem.

You can also try installing the game to a less restrictive folder than Program Files. If you are intending to play using a non administrator account, make sure to give the account full permission to the game’s install folder (Right click install dir -> Properties -> Security -> Edit -> Add -> Advanced -> Find now –> Choose your user account and press OK to all open windows to save and close). Additionally, right lick JustCause2.exe and choose ‘’Run as Admin’ when launching the game as well.

Disappearing civilians and vehicles

Some people have reported that all civilian vehicles and civilians disappear after you play several hours into the game. This seems to be an actual bug and has been acknowledged on Just Cause 2 support forums. If this happens, all you need to do this to start a race – this should reload all civilians and vehicles in the area.

“After many days of hair pulling / grey inducing conversion trying to work out how to convert matroska video files to a playable format for the PS3. I have produced the following script :-

As you can see in the comments at the top of the script you need to install a few packages and use the correct values to the compile (package.use, for Gentoo users).

I have tested this on many files with great results.

This script does NO conversion of video and is really quite quick

It takes me 17mins to remux a 1.2GB MKV file to a PS3 playable format. It has ac3 audio which can be seen whilst playing the ps3

Error code 80048820 is a common one with MSN Messenger 7.5 and Windows Live Messenger.
When you start MSN Messenger, you are unable to sign in.

-The system clock may be set incorrectly.
-The Dynamic Link Library (DLL) softpub.dll may not be registered on the system. -Internet Explorer may be using an invalid proxy server.
-Double click on the clock in the taskbar and make sure the system clock is set correctly.
-Register softpub.dll using the regsvr32.exe tool. Click Start, and then click Run

In the Open box, type regsvr32 softpub.dll and then click OK.

# Restart MSN Messenger (WLM).
Remove any Internet Explorer proxy server settings.
