How To Drive Traffic To A Website Through Article Marketing

There are many ways to increase website traffic. Some web developers are turning to SEO practices, link buying and even subscribing to pay-for-click programs just to encourage more visitors to their sites. One of the least expensive ways of increasing website traffic is through article marketing.
What Is Article Marketing?
Article marketing is a form on online advertising. Basically, you write short articles about anything related to what you are trying to promote. After completing the piece, you have to make it available for distribution and publication in article directories, in the company website and even on someone else’s site.
As a rule, each completed article contains a resource box which contains vital information like: the name of the author, a very brief background of the author, and contact information of the author, etc.
Essentials Of Article Marketing
1. Write Quality Articles
Quality content is still the best way to make article marketing work.
You should remember that more than a million people log on to the Internet daily; and a good percentage of them post article after article about almost any topic.
When you write an article, try to incorporate all the information your potential reader may need or want. Internet users usually seek out valuable information like the ones that can help them solve their problems. If you can, write and post articles that have the same theme or subject of interest; and write as many articles as you can. This is a way of building up your reputation among your readers. Given time, (and if your articles are interesting enough,) you just may develop a following of readers who are interested in reading what you have to say.
2. Craft The Perfect Resource Box
As mentioned earlier, when you market your article, you should always have a resource box. Now, this is really important. This is the one place that can literally point your readers to your website. Here is how you should craft a perfect resource box:
The first thing that your readers should find in your resource box is your name and title, but more often than not, its just the name that people scout around for.
Do not forget to type in correctly your website address after your name.
After this, there is the compulsory USP or unique selling proposition: this is comprised of 1 to 3 brief and concise sentences as to what more you can possibly offer your readers.
Finally, you lead your readers into a call of action. This means that you are asking them to do one specific action: particularly asking them to visit your website.
3. Submit Your Articles
Obviously, submitting your article for publication is important, but where do you send them? The easiest choice is to send them to article directories or acquire article distribution services. Submission to article directories is mostly free, and these directories will allow you to add links to your website. Article distribution services have varying fees, but they allow your piece to be posted in more sites than article directories.

Making Money With Social Networking

Social networking sites on the internet have really changed  the ways that many people go about their ventures to make money online. If you haven’t considered making money with social network websites, such as Yuwie, Facebook or Myspace, maybe it’s time that you invest some of your time figuring out how you might be able to increase sales, get more customers, and jumpstart your affiliate marketing adventures.

Many internet marketers are already earning more than enough money through the use of social networking sites’ systems in order to get their hands on more cash. Here are some interesting ways that you, can make some money with social networking websites that shouldn’t and won’t take you very much time at all.

The first step in marketing with social network sites involves actually setting up your account. If you don’t already have an account with Facebook, Yuwie, Myspace, or any of the other well-known websites out there, it’s time you did. When creating your account, one can either use their real name or a "pen name" of sorts. In fact, many internet marketers actually use a pen name in order to disguise who they really are as well as creating a social networking profile to go along with their real name.

What to sell: The number of products and things that you can sell on Facebook or Myspace is ultimately limitless. Whether you want to promote your own website to gain members and traffic to, or post your affiliate links to other products, anything is generally accepted in these communities.

There are several ways in which the actual selling process can be done. First, social networking websites usually allow members to post bulletins or notes that all the rest of their contacts that are members of the site will be able to see.

These bulletins are where the real money can be made, because pretty much anything can be included in them. For example, you could do a product review of a weight loss product and post it in a bulletin along with your affiliate link in order for your friends to buy. In doing so, your friends will give you commission sales on the products they buy.

The profile page is another way someone could make money using social networking sites. Whether you’d like to promote someone else’s products as an affiliate or your own products, this can be done right on your profile by posting affiliate links, product reviews, information, or anything else that will attract a potential sale. Even videos that are essentially product reviews and an attempt to try to sell your own product or your affiliate product can be posted on your social networking member profile.

As you can see, the sales and amount of money that can come from using and exploiting social networking sites can really compound. Basically, the more friends that a person has in their community profile means that the more chances they have and the more members they have available to them in order to market and try to sell their products. All in all, using Yuwie, Facebook, Myspace, or any another social networking community website can definitely pay off in the long run!

Now .smith, .sports or .love on the web

Internet regulators on Thursday voted to relax rules on domain name like .com .edu which could pave the way for companies or individuals to create an array of new addresses for the web.

The Internet corporation for assigned names and numbers, or ICANN, also approved measures that will allow top-level domain names in script such as ARABIC or CYRILLIC.

Top=level domain names or TLDs, refer to Internet name suffixes such as the ubiquitous .com .net and .org among others. Currently there are more than 200 top-level domain names which also include the two character country codes used by websites, such as Britain’s .uk.

ICANN officials said some technical issues for the new system must be worked out, but it could be reviewing the first applications for new TLDs as early as next spring.

The application fee is expected to be $100,000. Individuals, companies or group could apply to have any string of letters established as a domain name. It could be a vanity name, for example-.smith-or a category name like .sports or .perfume. A company could also change to reflect its brand, so Apple.com could become Apple.mac, for instance. Straight forward applications will be approved quickly. A review process would be undertaken for controversial strings.
