With the new windows 8 operating system Microsoft is redeveloping the way people know windows and changing the user interface of windows by making windows more easier, helpful and user friendly This new operating system coming later this year.Microsoft done lot of changes in this windows 8 and most of the people already knows the new Metro interface and I think people are loving the new interface of windows cause the downloading of Windows 8 have already crossed 3 million download and still counting.

By doing so many interface changes and enhancement in this new version of windows 8. Microsoft also redesigned its windows logo. Check below picture for the new cool Logo of Windows 8.

In this picture you can also see the logos from the starting version of windows called windows 1.0 and so on Microsoft done great changes in Logos. The Logo looks great and I wish windows 8 would be much greater than the logo. Windows 8 beta version looks promising let see how promising will be the final version.

Microsoft released the first wave of Windows Phone 7 handsets in the UK on 21 October with little fanfare from the company’s mobile network partners. The company’s CEO Steve Ballmer said that there will initially be six handsets arriving in the UK, while nine handsets will be available in the US.

The new devices include three HTC handsets – the HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Trophy and HTC HD7 – as well as the Samsung Omnia 7, LG’s Optimus 7 and the DellVenue Pro, which won’t be available until December. Most of the phones share similar specifications because of the limitations that Microsoft has placed on device manufacturers. There won’t be any customization of the user interface, in order to give customers a more consistent Windows Phone 7 experience. All the phones have a 1GHz processor and at least a 3.7in screen with a 480×800 resolution.

“I’ve been looking forward to this day for some time,” said Ballmer. “We think very much that after today, that with Windows Phone, we really have built with our partners, a different kind of phone.”

Ballmer explained that the difference between Windows 7 and other mobile systems is the focus on getting users away from their phones. Ballmer said the new Live Tile design is key to this. Icons are larger than on iOS or Android devices and pull data out of the application, allowing the user to see relevant information.

Though, Microsoft admits there’s a long road ahead. “We do realize this isn’t going to be an easy journey,” said Ashley Highfield, managing director of consumer products at Microsoft UK. “We hope to change the perception of those who haven’t been too happy with our previous efforts.” One such person was Stephen Fry, who is known for his love of all things Apple, who came on stage during the London event to give Windows Phone 7 his seal of approval, as he pulled a Windows Phone 7 handset out of his jacket pocket, “my first feeling was, it’s fun to play with. I have felt enormous pleasure using this phone.

Check out the new capabilities of the next Internet Explorer, with the Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview. Find demos of HTML5 and the hardware-accelerated performance with background compiled JavaScript.
Detail from Wikipedia

IE 9 will have complete or nearly complete support for all CSS 3 selectors, border-radius CSS 3 property, faster JavaScript, and hardware accelerated rendering using Direct2D and DirectWrite. During the October 2009 Typ09 conference, Microsoft was reported as saying that it was ‘considering’ supporting WOFF in Internet Explorer 9. WOFF is “a strong favourite” for standardization by the W3C Web Fonts Working Group.

Microsoft has continued to downplay the importance of passing the Acid3 test, but speculation that IE 9 would support the SVG W3C recommendation was ignited when Microsoft announced they had joined the SVG Working Group. The build of IE 9 presented on the PDC, scored 32/100, up from 20/100 for Internet Explorer 8.

At MIX10, a new preview was released that featured support for CSS3 and SVG, a new Javascript engine called Chakra, and a score of 55/100 on the Acid3 test. The final build of Internet Explorer 9 is expected to be released in 2011. Support for the HTML5 video and audio tags was also promised. Some industry experts claim that Microsoft will release IE 9 as a major out-of-band version that is not tied to any particular version of Windows. According to ie.microsoft.com/testdrive[2], the system requirements are Windows Vista SP2 (With Platform Upgrade) and Windows 7. IE8 is also required.
